Give patient trust a next step
Patients who value your care may know someone looking for a doctor. Give them a simple, optional way to make an introduction. The Referral Engine upgrade brings those introductions, recipient responses, and staff follow-up into the Patient10x Reviews workspace your practice already uses.
Word of mouth needs follow-through
A patient mentions your practice to a friend, but your team never sees the introduction. Or a contact reaches the front desk without a clear next step. Give doctors and medical groups a shared referral workflow so staff can see what came in, review recipient responses, and keep follow-up moving.
Make introductions easier
Offer patients an optional referral invitation after positive feedback in your enabled survey flow. They can share a person's name and contact details or skip the invitation. A posted Google review is not required.
Let recipients choose
Your staff can send an introductory email or SMS linking to a practice-branded page. The recipient can learn about your practice and affirm interest in being contacted about its services. An introduction is an opportunity, not an appointment commitment.
Keep staff on the same page
See referrals by location and status in one pipeline. Record follow-up notes and update progress as your team contacts interested recipients. Give practice managers a clearer view of the work without relying on scattered messages.
How it works
Enable your locations
Add Referral Engine to Patient10x Reviews and enable referrals at the locations you choose. Review your outreach process and patient permissions with your privacy and compliance advisers before launch.
Invite an introduction
In the eligible positive-feedback flow, patients see an optional invitation to refer someone who might benefit from your care. Submitted names and contact details enter your practice's referral pipeline.
Offer a contact choice
Staff review the referral and choose email or SMS for the initial invitation, using your practice's approved outreach process. The linked page lets the recipient affirm interest and agree to contact about your services.
Follow up and track
Your team handles the conversation and any scheduling through its usual process, then updates referral status. Marking a referral as booked removes its stored phone and email and replaces the name with a reference label.
Your team leads the relationship
Patient10x Reviews organizes introductions and recipient responses. Your practice remains responsible for permissions, outreach, privacy, and clinical decisions. Have qualified advisers review your implementation, especially any proposed referral incentive or donation arrangement.
What triggers the referral invitation?
With referrals enabled for a location, the invitation appears in eligible token-based survey flows after positive feedback and the applicable review or testimonial steps. It is optional and does not verify or require a posted Google review. It is not an automatic request sent after every visit.
Does a referral mean the person agreed to contact?
No. A patient submitting someone's details is not that person's permission. Staff can send an initial email or SMS invitation under the practice's approved outreach process. The linked page lets the recipient affirm interest and agree to contact about your services. Review the permissions needed for that initial message before using the workflow.
Is this a separate product?
No. Referral Engine is an optional upgrade within Patient10x Reviews. It adds a referral pipeline and outreach tools to your existing reputation workspace. You do not need to add the Video Testimonials or charity upgrade to use it.
Does it connect referrals to appointments or revenue automatically?
No. The dashboard tracks referral records and statuses, including bookings your staff mark. It does not automatically verify appointments, sync a CRM or EHR, or attribute revenue. Your team handles scheduling in its usual system and updates the referral pipeline.
Can we offer rewards for patient referrals?
Do not assume a reward is permitted because a referral workflow is available. Healthcare referral incentives can raise federal and state compliance issues. Have qualified legal and compliance advisers review any proposed incentive or donation arrangement before launch. Referral Engine is not a legal determination or a guarantee of HIPAA compliance, and rewards must not be tied to Google reviews or positive review sentiment.
